In Badgie, coaches do video analysis from their mobile app in any sport: they record a video on the spot, upload it from the camera roll or reuse one from the club library, draw lines, arrows, circles, rectangles, freehand strokes and text pinned to the exact second, and add voice notes. Once sent, the student watches it in the Badgie app with the drawings and audio overlaid.

What it is for
Video analysis turns spoken feedback into something the student can watch again at home. Instead of describing from memory what went wrong in a movement, the coach marks it on the image at the precise moment and adds their own voice.
- Three video sources: record now with the camera, upload from the phone's camera roll, or reuse a video already in Badgie.
- Drawing tools: line, arrow, circle, rectangle, freehand and text. Each stroke appears at its own second, so the mark matches the movement it points to.
- Voice notes recorded over the video to explain the correction in your own words.
- Adjustable playback speed to watch the movement in slow motion.
- Send to the student, who receives the full analysis in their app.
Photo annotation
When a still image is enough, the coach can draw lines, arrows, shapes and text on a photo and attach it to the student's training note.
Step by step
- Open the coach app and go to the In class › Video Analysis menu.
- Tap to create a New video analysis and choose the source: Record now, Upload from phone or From your library (videos already uploaded to Badgie).
- In the editor, pause at the key moment and draw with the tool you need: line, arrow, circle, rectangle, freehand or text.
- Record a voice note explaining the correction and, if you like, change the speed to review the movement.
- Choose the recipient student or students and send the analysis.
What the student and family see
The student, or their family through the child's account, opens the analysis in the Badgie app and plays it with the drawings and voice note overlaid, exactly as the coach left them. Video analyses appear alongside the other photos and videos the club has sent, and they can also be embedded in a coach note.
Full-screen web video analysis (golf)
Besides the app, Badgie has a web video analysis editor, full screen and mouse-driven, which adds an angle tool, a library with filters and the option to download the video with the strokes drawn on top. It works with videos recorded in the app and with those imported from TrackMan.
Where it is available
- Coach app: create, draw, record voice notes and send the analysis. Also photo annotation.
- Family app (student and family): watch received analyses with drawings and audio.
- Web: full-screen editor with download of the annotated video, only for clubs with golf and TrackMan.
Frequently asked questions
Does it work for sports other than golf?
Yes. Video analysis in the coach app works in any sport: tennis, padel, football, martial arts, swimming or whatever your club teaches. Only the web editor is limited to clubs with golf.
Does the student see the drawings or just the original video?
They see it with the drawings and voice notes overlaid, each stroke at its own second.
Can I download the video with the annotations?
Downloading the video with the strokes is part of web video analysis, which today only clubs with golf and TrackMan have.
Does it connect to Veo, Hudl or similar cameras?
No, not today. Videos are recorded or uploaded from the phone, or reused from the club library.
